Inspiration
Swatantra Prakashan Private Limited has been envisioned by Sushil Swatantra, who is a social worker turned writer. He had been working in the fields of health and awareness in various slums of Delhi. He has served as editor of Hindi weekly titled Hind Watch, publishing from Delhi. He writes in different genres. He was born in Hazaribagh (undivided Bihar) on 24th August 1978. His childhood was spent running over the coal mines. While studying in Delhi University, he started social work in slums situated on the bank of river Yamuna. The largest slum area of Delhi, Yamuna Pushta, which was called 'Dharavi' of Delhi. Presently this has been relocated by the government in the different parts of outer Delhi.
He has long experience of working in the field of HIV/AIDS awareness with high risk behavior groups like female sex workers and truckers. Delhi has been his workplace for last two and a half decades, but the black dust of the coal mines pulls him towards the land of his birth again and again. Presently he resides in both places, Delhi and Ramgarh in Jharkhand. He considers Jharkhand to be the most suitable place for writing. He write poems, stories, articles, audio shows and novels. He is editor and publisher of ‘Hindi Sahityanama’, a comprehensive directory of Hindi literature. His deep faith in equality and democracy is clearly reflected in his writings. He is interested in the study of Mythology, Fiction and History.
Audio shows written by him have been broadcasted on various audio platforms. His literary works have been published in the forms of the collection of Hindi poems ‘Sambhawnaon Ka Shahar’ (The City of Possibilities) and novels ‘Trilokpati Ravan’ and ‘Sanjana’. Through the creation of the Asura Gatha Series, he appeared in the literary world with his best literary contribution. The first novel of this series ‘Trilokapati Ravana’ is in discussion widely in the literary circle. Translation of this novel into other Indian languages including Tamil is in progress. All the novels written by him are available on all leading online platforms. His literary works broadcasted from All India Radio many times.
Apart from writing, he works as a full time publisher and editor at Swatantra Prakashan Group. He has been engaged in organizing and coordinating programs on the issues of public concern, women empowerment, peace, harmony, art, culture, literature and South-Asian relations.
He contributes to the society and the nation in many ways. He is associated with many social, cultural, government and non-government organizations as a trainer, evaluator and consultant. He is chairman of the social organization called 'New India Mission', the founder and convener of Dharti Theater and the ex secretary of the Sarva Dharma Samanvay Parishad. As a publisher, he has published hundreds of books.
दिल्ली की झुग्गी बस्तियों में काम करने वाले सामाजिक कार्यकर्ता से साप्ताहिक अखबार का संपादक और फिर लेखक बनें सुशील विभिन्न विधाओं में लेखन करते हैं। 24 अगस्त 1978 को उनका जन्म हजारीबाग (अविभाजित बिहार) में हुआ। बचपन कोयला खदानों के ऊपर दौड़ते-भागते बीता। दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय से शिक्षा ग्रहण करने के दौरान ही वे झुग्गी बस्तियों में सामाजिक कार्य करने लगे थे। उन्हें लम्बे समय तक स्वास्थ्य के क्षेत्र में एच.आई.वी./एड्स जागरूकता के लिए उच्य जोखिम समूहों जैसे महिला यौन कर्मियों व ट्रकर्स के साथ काम करने का अनुभव है। ढाई दशक से दिल्ली उनकी कर्मभूमि रही है लेकिन कोयला खदानों की धूल बार-बार उन्हें अपनी ओर खींच लाती है। फिलहाल दिल्ली एवं झारखंड के रामगढ़ दोनों ही जगहों में उनका प्रवास होता है। लेखन के लिए वे झारखंड को बेहद माकूल जगह मानते हैं। वे कविता, कहानी, आलेख, ऑडियो शो एवं उपन्यास लिखते हैं। वे हिंदी साहित्य की विस्तृत निर्देशिका “हिंदी साहित्यानामा” के संपादक एवं प्रकाशक हैं। समानता और लोकतन्त्र में गहरी आस्था के कारण उनके लेखन में प्रतिबद्ध जनपक्षधरता स्पष्ट दिखाई देती है। वे माइथोलॉजी, फिक्शन और इतिहास के अध्ययन में रुचि रखते हैं।
उनके द्वारा रचित ऑडियो शोज का प्रसारण विभिन्न ऑडियो प्लेटफॉर्म्स पर चुका है। उनकी रचनाएँ 'संभावनाओं का शहर' कविता संग्रह एवं 'संजना' उपन्यास के रूप में प्रकाशित हुईं हैं। असुर गाथा श्रृंखला की रचना के माध्यम से वे अपने सर्वश्रेष्ठ साहित्यिक योगदान के साथ उपस्थित हुए हैं। इस शृंखला का पहला उपन्यास 'त्रिलोकपति रावण' चर्चा में है। इस उपन्यास का तमिल सहित अन्य भारतीय भाषाओं में अनुवाद किया जा रहा है। सुशील स्वतंत्र द्वारा रचित सभी उपन्यास को ऑनलाइन प्लेटफ़ॉर्म्स पर उपलब्ध हैं।
लेखन और संपादन के साथ-साथ वे वर्षों से सामाजिक क्षेत्र में सक्रिय रहे हैं। वे जन सरोकार के मुद्दों के साथ जुड़कर महिला सशक्तिकरण, कला-संस्कृति, साहित्य एवं दक्षिण एशिया शांति विषयों पर कार्यकर्मों के संचालन व समन्वय के क्षेत्र में सक्रिय हैं। वे कई सामाजिक, सांस्कृतिक, सरकारी एवं गैर-सरकारी संस्थाओं के साथ प्रशिक्षक, मूल्यांकनकर्ता व सलाहकार के रूप में जुडे हुए हैं। वे सामाजिक संस्था ‘न्यू इंडिया मिशन’ के अध्यक्ष, धरती थियेटर के संस्थापक एवं संयोजक और सर्वधर्म समन्वय परिषद के पूर्व सचिव भी हैं। एक प्रकाशक के रूप में उन्होने सैकड़ों पुस्तकों को प्रकाशित किया है।
